When planning your vacation, ensure that you book a hotel that is convenient and accessible to most of the attractions you wish to visit and explore. If you are on a business trip your hotel should put you in close proximity to your conference or meeting.

When going out, do not carry your passport around; leave it in the safe in your hotel. You should also make a photocopy of all your travel documents, should you lose the originals on your trip.
